Jackson State University student, Teylor Bowles was a member of the Class of 2013 Mississippi INBRE Research Scholars. Since her summer experience, she has continued her education and research experience in the lab of her mentor, Dr. Kedra Wallace. Besides presenting at the Mississippi Academy of Sciences, she has also presented at the Experimental Biology Meeting in San Diego, CA where she received a travel award to present her research.

Through her research in Dr. Wallace’s lab, she has been an author on seven research papers, including her most recent paper entitled “Dysregulation of the FAS/FasL system in an experimental animal model of HELLP syndrome” in the journal Pregnancy Hypertens this past April.
