2015 Mississippi INBRE Research Scholar, Joseph Jelinski has worked hard to further his research since completing his summer experience. He was named an EAGLE SPUR Scholar in 2016, receiving a $1000 grant for his research, “Painless Tick Bite: Investigating the Functional Role of Novel Amblyomma maculatum Metalloproteases in Pain Suppression.” Joseph has had the opportunity to represent Mississippi INBRE through presenting his research at Posters in the Rotunda in Jackson, MS and at Posters on the Hill in Washington, D.C.

Currently, Joseph is working on his Ph.D. at Baylor University, College of Medicine.
