Tougaloo College student, Mallory Greer (middle of above picture) is a recent graduate of the Mississippi INBRE Research Scholars program. She said that her experience with Mississippi INBRE is already helping her in better deciding her career path and her likes and dislikes.

Mallory is a member of the Class of 2018, Mississippi INBRE Research Scholars. After completing the program less than a month ago, she, along with the other members of this year’s graduating class, has already presented her research in a poster competition.

As far as her research experience goes, she says that it was a success!

“I never really cared for labs accompanied with my core classes. Once I got to UMMC and started working it got more interesting day by day. I realized that research is fun, especially when it is centered around relevant topics.”

Her future goals are to attend pharmacy school and to specialize in pediatric oncology. She said that this research experience gave her another interest as well: pursuing a Ph.D.

We are so proud of the hard work that Mallory accomplished over this summer! We look forward to seeing her accomplish all of her goals!
