On August 2, 2019, Mississippi INBRE had the honor of supporting the 2019 Mississippi IDeA Conference for Biomedical Research held at the Hilton Jackson, in Jackson, Miss.

At this conference, 139 graduate & undergraduate students presented their research as posters. Twenty-nine oral presentations were given during the Scientific Sessions, which focused on topics like Neuroscience, Cancer, Obesity & Cardiometabolic Diseases, and Biotechnology.  The Keynote Speaker for the evening was Dr. Isiah Warner, who spoke on “Mentoring: Guidance along the Yellow Brick Road from Bunkie, LA to Endowed Chair at Louisiana State University.”
