The 84th Annual Mississippi Academy of Sciences meeting, sponsored by Mississippi INBRE, was held on February 20-21, 2020 at the Biloxi Convention Center. This conference boasted 489 scientific presentations in both oral and poster format. In addition, the conference hosted and additional 12 speakers. There were over 1000 attendees at this conference including students, faculty and staff from across Mississippi

Research presented at this conference is divided into 13 divisions: health sciences; cellular, molecular, and developmental biology; chemistry; chemical engineering; geology and geography; marine and atmospheric sciences; mathematics; computer sciences and statistics; microbiology and immunology; physics and engineering; psychology; behavioral neurosciences; science education; zoology, entomology, and agriculture; and plant science.
