Catching up with 2012 Mississippi INBRE Research Scholar, Denisha Spires

Congratulations to 2012 Mississippi INBRE Research Scholar, Denisha Spires for recently being awarded the Steven M. Hovarth Professional Opportunity Award by the American Physiological Society. This award is granted annually to the two top underrepresented minority students at their annual meeting. After completing the Mississippi INBRE Research Scholar program, Denisha completed her undergraduate degree and currently is a graduate student at the Medical College of Wisconsin.
