The curriculum development grants support course creation or enhancement as well as workshops at undergraduate institutions. Topics of interest include all areas of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) education.
We invite applications from faculty seeking support for curriculum development or workshops at their institutions. Examples of areas Mississippi INBRE supports include new courses or substantial enhancement of existing courses.
Applicants can apply for up to $25,000 per year direct cost plus indirect cost at their institution’s approved rate. Funds may be used for teaching and release time to allow for faculty to develop the course. Funds may also be used to purchase equipment that is critical to the course or workshop. Funding of application is contingent on Mississippi INBRE’s renewal by NIH.
Applications must be received by February 1, May 1, August 1 or November 1.
Investigators from all two- and four-year, primarily undergraduate institutions within Mississippi are eligible to apply.
Applicants should follow the instructions in the PHS398 Application Guide. Applications should include: title, abstract, a 6-page narrative with a description of the course they seek to develop and its potential impact on the students and the institution; biosketch, a budget, budget justification, and a checklist.
Applications must be submitted by email to [email protected]. Do NOT upload your application to NIH through ASSIST.
