Mississippi INBRE-STEMI Science Curriculum Grants support course creation or substantial course enhancement at Mississippi’s K-12 institutions. Topics of interest include all areas of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Education.

We invite applications from Mississippi’s K-12 science teachers seeking support for new course development or enhancement at their institutions.

Applicants can apply for up to $2,500 per year. Funds may be used to purchase supplies and equipment critical to the course. Funding of applications are contingent on Mississippi INBRE’s renewal by NIH.

Deadlines:
Course Development Proposal Deadline – December 1
Instrumentation and Course Materials Proposal Deadline – February 1
Proposals for Next Funding Year (start date June 1) – May 1

Science teachers from K-12 institutions within Mississippi are eligible to apply. Please contact us if you have any questions about your eligibility.

Applicants should be submitted electronically by email and include: title, abstract, a 4-page narrative with a description of the course they seek to develop and its potential impact on the students and the institution; resume, a budget, and budget justification. Applications must be submitted by email to msinbre@usm.edu.
