
The Mississippi IDeA Network of Biomedical Research Excellence (MS-INBRE) is pleased to announce Mississippi IDeA/EPSCoR Conference 2025 (MIEC25) will be held on Thursday, July 24, 2025, at the Gertrude C. Ford Ole Miss Student Union on the University of Mississippi’s Oxford, Miss. campus.
Co-hosted by MS-INBRE and Mississippi EPSCoR, MIEC25 will offer concurrent oral STEM presentations, a student poster competition, networking opportunities, student professional development and more. We aim to enhance in-state STEM research infrastructure through offering an engaging platform for researchers to learn, collaborate and exchange key research discoveries. STEM research faculty, undergraduate & graduate students, healthcare professionals, engineers, public health leaders and research industry stakeholders are highly encouraged to attend. MIEC25 is an excellent opportunity for Mississippi college students pursuing health-related careers to gain presentation experience, network and learn from experienced healthcare professionals.

Mississippi INBRE
The Mississippi IDeA Network of Biomedical Research Excellence (INBRE) is a network of colleges and universities designed to build a biomedical research infrastructure in Mississippi. Our mission is to engage talented faculty and students in biomedical research projects that will increase the state’s research competitiveness as well as impact the health of the citizens of Mississippi.
Mississippi EPSCoR
The mission of the project is to establish a sustainable statewide interdisciplinary research infrastructure that will enable Mississippi to address fundamental challenges associated with advanced materials, increase the state’s competitiveness in optoelectronics research, and drive cross-fertilization of research, education, training, and entrepreneurship to build the STEM workforce.
