On November 13-16, 2019, three former Mississippi INBRE Research Scholars and two LSMAMP members attended the Annual Biomedical Research Conference for Minority Students (ABRCMS) in Anaheim, CA. This conference is one of the largest communities of underrepresented minorities in science, technology, engineering and mathematics. Students attend this conference to present their research, enhance professional development skills, explore graduate schools, and network. During the four-day conference, over 2,500 students from over 350 colleges and universities participate in poster and oral presentations in twelve STEM disciplines.
Rachel Shambry (LSMAMP), Michael Wilson (LSMAMP), Evan Smith, Jalisa Jones, & Thuy-Hien Le (Mississippi INBRE Research Scholars 2019) presented their research during the poster sessions. Congratulations to Michael Wilson for receiving a Certificate of Achievement as a 2019 Presentation Awardee!
