Big IDEAs for Improving the Lives of Mississippians, 2018 Mississippi IDeA Conference was held on July 27, 2018 at The Westin Jackson in Jackson, Mississippi. The conference was designed to showcase research in Mississippi in the fields of obesity & cardiometabolic diseases, cancer, neuroscience, infectious diseases & immunology, community health & health care disparities, and integrating omics technologies & general biomedical sciences.
The keynote speaker for this year’s conference was Dr. Joey P. Granger, Billy S. Guyton Distinguished Professor, Professor of Physiology and Medicine, Director of Cardiovascular-Renal Research Centre, Dean of the School of Graduate Studies in Health Sciences at the University of Mississippi Medical Center.
