Leading the Way
The Mississippi INBRE Administrative Core, led by Program Director Dr. Kelly Lucas, provides logistical support to the Mississippi INBRE Network, ensuring the program articulates the NIH vision. The Administrative Core facilitates open communication among investigators, trains and mentors faculty & students, oversees research activities, and maintains high-quality research facility access for investigators. The Administrative Core coordinates the Community Engagement & Training Core, Bioinformatics Core, Instrumentation & Services Core, as well as three Student Programs. The purpose of this core is also to maintain open communication between each core of the Mississippi INBRE Statewide Network and to ensure that each work cohesively and effectively to articulate organization-wide goals set by the NIH.
