My Brother’s Keeper, Inc.

MBK’s mission is to improve health outcomes across the U.S. by enhancing the well-being of our local communities through leadership and collaboration with the public.

MBK was first established in 1999 as an organization dedicated to the prevention, care, and treatment of individuals affected by human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). MBK’s HIV prevention services focused on designing and delivering a range of educational and training programs in public health, social policy, action research, information technology, advocacy, coalition development, and capacity building. Through its extensive experience, MBK strengthened its commitment to HIV prevention, serving over 15,000 individuals across the country, including members of community-based organizations (CBOs), faith-based organizations (FBOs), institutions of higher learning (IHLs), and local communities.

Today, MBK is an experienced CBO focused on improving public health through health education, health promotion, policy and environmental systems changes, and related strategies. MBK’s scope has grown to address a variety of health concerns, including cardiovascular disease, diabetes, hypertension, obesity, and cancer. This evolution has helped transform MBK from a grassroots organization into a recognized leader in public health, working to improve health outcomes across communities nationwide.
