The Louisiana Biomedical Research Network (LBRN) will host the iTREP Biomedical Entrepreneurship Program from June 23–27, 2025, at the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. This week-long immersive training is being conducted in collaboration with the University of Vermont IDeA Entrepreneurship Program, supported by NIH NIGMS, and is specifically designed to introduce biomedical researchers to core concepts in innovation, entrepreneurship, and commercialization.

The program is open to undergraduate, graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, and junior faculty across Southeastern Region IDeA states, with a focus on biomedical research translation and venture development. Participants will engage with experienced faculty, NIH program staff, and entrepreneurs in interactive workshops, mentorship sessions, and a pitch competition at the end of the week. LBRN/UVM will cover the travel and lodging expenses for the participants selected for the program.
