The 87th Annual Mississippi Academy of Sciences Meeting, sponsored by Mississippi INBRE, will be held February 23-24, 2023, at the Mississippi Coast Convention Center in Biloxi, Mississippi. Last year’s meeting boasted over 1,200 attendees, including students, faculty and staff from across Mississippi, as well as an additional 400 scientific presentations in both oral and poster format. This year’s meeting is expected to exceed those numbers. 

Research presented at this conference is divided into 13 divisions: agriculture and plant sciences; cellular, molecular and developmental biology; chemistry and chemical engineering; ecology and evolutionary biology; geology and geography; health sciences; history and philosophy of science; marine and atmospheric sciences; mathematics, computer sciences and statistics; physics and engineering; psychology and social science; science education; and zoology and entomology.
