Dr. Kelly Tatchell
Kelly Tatchell, PhD received his PhD from Oregon State University (biochemistry), followed by postdoctoral training at the University of Washington. For the past two decades at Louisiana State University (LSU) Medical Center, his laboratory has studied how the PP1 phosphatase regulates its disparate targets. He has mentored 15 PhD students and numerous high school, undergraduate and master’s students. He has authored over 75 peer-reviewed journal articles and 10 book chapters. Dr. Tatchell has served on grant review panels for the NIH, NSF, and the American Cancer Society. His scientific expertise and experience in mentoring students is valuable to Mississippi INBRE.
