The 79th Annual Mississippi Academy of Sciences meeting, hosted by Mississippi INBRE, was held February 26-27, 2015 at the Thad Cochran Center on the campus of The University of Southern Mississippi. The 2015 conference had 394 scientific presentations in the oral and poster sessions and over 700 in attendance.
Research presented at this conference is divided into 13 divisions: agriculture and plant sciences; cellular, molecular and developmental biology; chemistry and chemical engineering; ecology and evolutionary biology; geology and geography; health sciences; history and philosophy of science; marine and atmospheric sciences; mathematics, computer sciences and statistics; physics and engineering; psychology and social science; science education; and zoology and entomology.
